This book was easy to get into because it is the second in the series. It always surprises me when the second book surpasses the first in overall rating, but *Two Twisted Crowns* is definitely one of those books! From a romance perspective, you have deep devotion from the main love interest, which to me came off as chivalrous and sweet. I honestly think this series is going in my permanent collection. It is one of those stories where you just can't predict what will happen next, and I think that is a credit to the overall writing and worldbuilding.
