Sarah Beth Durst has a talent for writing cozy fantasy that feels genuinely comforting, and The Faraway Inn is no exception.
The inn itself completely stole the show. Between the magical doors leading to different worlds, the quirky guests, and the feeling that the building had a personality of its own, I constantly wanted to explore just one more room.
This isn't an action-heavy fantasy. Instead, it's about creating a safe place, building community, and discovering that home isn't always where you expect to find it.
The romance stays in the background, allowing the magic, friendships, and sense of wonder to remain the focus—which I personally appreciated.
While I don't think it's a book I'll be thinking about years from now, it's absolutely one I'd recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, feel-good fantasy.
